They say the music industry is a cutthroat, dog-eat-dog world. Many more artists have experienced this through exploitation or other challenges. Singer Aubrey Qwana says he is going through it all and revealed mental health challenges that may lead him to call it quits.
THE MUSIC BUSINESS
The Molo singer recently shared on social media how depressed he has become. "I want to run away but I can't," he says. " This life thing is really showing me flames and I can't take it anymore. I need a hug." He says after finishing his upcoming project, he might quit music. "After this album, I might just let this music thing go. I'm super depressed and I'm not OK."
DEPRESSION
Aubrey is not the first artist to speak openly about depression due to the tough entertainment industry. Mlindo opened up about depression and how having three accidents almost made him give up. "It hasn't been nice for me for a long time. You'll remember I've had a lot of accidents and I didn't speak to anyone. It took a lot from me," Mlindo shared. "I hope with this new music you are going to support it as you've done before. I've been working on these songs for a long time and they are finally ready. I wish you guys can support me. I'm very sorry for being away for this long." Many artists, including Emtee, Ntaba Yase Dubai, iFani and Maraza shared how tough the music business has been and how they have been battling depression.
