A popular Gqom artist has been exposed by the mother of his child for paying damages for the child he once denied as his. His baby mama Slindile Mkabayi Ka Mkhondla, better known as Sli, shared with her Tiktok followers how Size Mdlalose went on to pay damages for the child to her family without her knowledge.
CHANGE OF MIND
It seems like Sizwe Mdlalose, who is also featured in DJ Tira’s hit song Sikilidi ,has changed his mind and wants to be a present father. But instead of consulting with Sli, he decided to go behind her back and paid damages to her family. According to Sli, who also hails from the same township as her baby daddy, Sizwe went and met up with her family behind her back and paid damages for the child at her Umlazi home. "How do you do that knowing I am the primary caregiver and the child stays with me, not with my family," she fumed. Sli says she couldn’t afford to support the child financially and that she had to rely on her neighbours to feed her child. After he denied the child, it seems like Sli made a decision to raise the baby on her own because Sizwe was fixated on being a celebrity and cared more about his public reputation and chasing a music career. "When my child is older and wiser, he will make his own decision whether he acknowledges his father or not. I can’t be played by you now that you have realised that you want to be a father," she said.
HEALING FROM EMOTIONAL SCARS
Sli says she does not have issues with the star acknowledging the child as his, but says there are proper channels that needed to be followed especially because she and the child are still healing from the emotional scars they suffered when he denied paternity of the seven-year-old boy. Sli also detailed how Sizwe abandoned her when she was six months pregnant.
NOT A CHARITY CASE
She said she is not a charity case and does not want anything from Sizwe besides an apology. "I don’t want anything from him but if you want to do things right, you have to accept your wrongdoings first," she said. She also dropped a bombshell about Sizwe fathering two more children around Umlazi and keeping them a secret. In his defence, Sizwe said that Sli left her parents’ house to go live with a man, what was he supposed to do? Sizwe also said that he bumped into Sli’s mother who confronted him about the child and paying off damages because it is one of the important practices in the Zulu culture. In a recording heard by ZiMoja, Sizwe said, "I met with your mother on a bridge where she asked me about fathering a child with you. I told your mother that I was willing to be the father but you decided to run away with my child."
