Mzansi has suffered yet another show cancellation from an international musician, hardly a week after Nigerian superstar Burna Boy cancelled his show. American gospel powerhouse Tasha Cobbs will no longer be performing at the Durban leg of her highly anticipated South African tour. Despite her popularity, especially amongst the Christian community, her Durban show was cancelled due to slow moving ticket sales.
VENUE WAS WAY TOO BIG FOR DURBAN CROWD
ZiMoja has learnt that many Durbanites were not as excited as the rest of South Africans about the the coming of the gospel singer. "I think Moses Mabhida Stadium is way too big for that show- the ICC would have been much better. Even our own Joyous Celebrations doesn't not take such chance," said the source. The source adds that also the timing of the event was bad. "Month end would have been much better, most people get paid from the 25. Next weekend, for instance, would have been perfect," adds the source. Those who bought tickets need notstress about getting their cash back. The event organisers have put in place a refund policy to ensure all ticket holders receive a prompt refund.
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
CEO of TRT Media, the event organisers, Buti Elliot Mthembu, assured Cobbs' fans who have already bought tickets their cash back.
"We understand the disappointment this may bring to Tasha Cobbs Leonard fans and supporters who were eagerly looking forward to this event. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause," he assured. In his statement he further explained the refund process. "The refund policy varies depending on the payment method used for the ticket purchase. If you paid by credit card, send an email to info@ticketpros.co.za to request your refund, including your ticket transaction reference number. Refunds may be processed back to your credit card, with exceptions being communicated individually. "If you paid using Ozow Payments, you don't need to do anything. Once you send an email requesting a refund and including your ticket transaction reference number, the refund will be made automatically to your account."
He highlighted that refunds cannot be claimed in-store.
Mthembu also expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm and support to all Tasha Cobbs's fans and supporters who bought tickets. "We remain committed to bringing you exceptional live entertainment experiences in the future," he said.
