Fallen Gqom star and Gobisiqolo hitmaker Bhizer, real name Sibonelo Dimba, has come forward to also accuse producer and DJ Prince Kaybee, real name Kabelo Motsamai ,of stealing his song in 2020.
NO CREDIT
The allegations come just days after Idols SA contestant Botlhale Phora accused Prince Kaybee of stealing his song which he had sent to him in 2021. Botlhale said he emailed the registered track to Prince Kaybee and provided proof of the email communication, but the Charlotte hitmaker blocked him on social media after he heard it recently. After Bothlale made the claims, Prince Kaybee cursed him on social media and called him names. Bhizer claims to ZiMoja,
that he too, had his song allegedly stolen by Prince Kaybee and he used it without crediting him. "I sent him the song in 2020, and he dropped his version featuring Nolwazi in 2021." Bhizer claims after sending the song, he thought Prince Kaybee had rejected it but he was shocked to hear it on the radio. "He was quiet after I sent him the song. Then I heard it a year later. He had reworked the song and released it with the title, Sofa Silahlane."
SCARED
Bhizer said he was scared of speaking up as he did not want to be blacklisted in the music industry or to be called a clout chaser. "You know people will say I am trying to resurrect my career by using Prince Kaybee's name and that is not the case," Bhizer said. He added that when he tried to reach out to the DJ, he blocked him on social media, email and the number he had at the time. He said he gave up but gained the courage to speak up when he saw Botlhale's story. "I thought I was the only person. I felt a bit better knowing someone else had experienced the same thing."
Bhizer said this has pushed him to want to quit music. "I quit this year but it keeps following me because it's a passion," he said adding that, "I will not let Prince Kaybee matter rest. I will seek legal advice." Prince Kaybee had not responded to calls and questions sent to him regarding the matter at the time of publishing.
