Rapper and TV presenter Anele Zondo, fondly known as Ney The Bae, has welcomed a bouncing baby girl.
BUNDLE OF JOY
Despite the gossip and rumours around her pregnancy and who could possibly be the father of her child, Anele shared her joy on social media in a series of snaps. "I can't believe I can say God bestowed upon me the blessing to birth a whole human. World, meet Princess Moä," she shared. Anele's management team at HGA told ZiMoja that she is incredibly happy and feeling excited about her new journey into motherhood. "She has been looking forward to this and can't wait to experience the joys and lessons of motherhood,' her management said.
EXCITED
The Ingwe hitmaker first confirmed the news of her pregnancy to ZiMoja and said that she felt like the luckiest girl in the world because she has always wanted to be a mother. Anele said motherhood is a journey that she always wished for and prayed for the longest of time. She also admitted that she did not want to rush the process and have a baby just because of peer pressure. "The pregnancy is teaching me what is possible when we allow nature to take its course. I'm both nervous and excited. I can't wait for my audience and fans to ride with me," she said.
BALANCE
Although she did not want to share who the father of her child was, the ecstatic mom-to-be told ZiMoja at the time that she was over the moon and that her pregnancy had inspired her to work even harder on her music. "Striking a balance between my biological clock and my expanding career has always been something I felt conflicted about. As women, it is always up to us to choose between either being a mother or pursuing a career. We are questioned when we consciously choose both," she explained.
SPECULATION
When speculation about who the father of her child may be, many suspected Ciza Nciza, the son of TK Nciza, but the two quickly clarified the rumours were not true. "It's sad that people are painting her out to be that person. Anele and I are good friends; we work together. We are not dating. She is in a relationship, and so am I," Ciza told ZiMoja. "I wish people could just respect boundaries." Anele also confirmed that Ciza was not the father.
