Black-ish comedian and actor Anthony Anderson (53) escaped with minor bruises after a freak on-set accident in Cape Town. The American actor got injured during the filming of the upcoming film "G20". Anderson, who starred in the classic movie Romeo Must Die, with the late Aaliyah and DMX, shared his experience on Instagram.
RUSHED TO HOSPITAL
He said he was rushed to hospital on Thursday after the accident and had to spend the night in the emergency room at a private hospital in the Mother City. Anderson shared a picture of himself lying on a stretcher, all smiles while flashing the peace sign. The recent Emmy Awards host joked about the incident: "Movie set fight gone wrong. Me against two goons and a chair! Guess who didn't win! Who needs a stuntman? Me that's who! I'm not as young as I used to be!"
NO SERIOUS INJURIES
Luckily for Anderson, he did not break any of his bones during the incident. He said that CT scan and X-rays showed nothing fractured or broken in his "Just a deep contusion. That chair will never be the same though! Bloodied and bowed but never broken!" His former on-screen wife, Black-ish" co-star Tracee Ellis-Ross wished Anderson well. She wrote: "You are not made of rubber. I'm so glad you are ok." The forthcoming action-thriller G20 is directed by Patricia Riggen. It will also star Antony Starr, Viola Davis, Ramón Rodríguez and Anderson's former Black-ish co-star Marsai Martin, according to IMDb.
