End of the road as much-loved actor exits popular telenovela

It is the end of the road for Zamani Mbatha

After much speculation, it has been revealed that Zamani Mbatha will leave telenovela, Isitha-The Enemy. Zamani is known for his portrayal of Khaya in the popular e.tv series. Last week the production company Black Brain Production refuted rumours that he was leaving the show. and even went of issuing a press release to this effect. But it has come to light that he will be departing from the show in the middle of 2024 to explore other opportunities. Zamani has a significant role in the show's storyline, and the team is working hard to complete the episodes for Season 1, according to Black Brain Pictures director and founder, Mandla Ngcongwane.


MONEY ISSUES 


According to the source close to the situation, there was drama over money . It's alleged that Zamani demanded more money due to the success of the show but producers had issues with meeting him halfway. According to the source they thought the issues were sorted but they were shocked to discover that he was leaving."We wish Zamani the best of luck in his future endeavours and viewers will still be able to enjoy his performances until mid-2024," said Mpumelelo Nhlapo, Executive Director at Black Brain Pictures.


THE SHOW IS DOING WELL 


While other shows like Nikiwe have been canned, Isitha,The Enemy, is ranking on top. "We are thrilled to have achieved record ARs and viewership numbers with the show and we aim to continue building on that success in the future," said Mpumelelo. Both Mandla and Mpumelelo expressed their gratitude to the show's loyal fans across the country, who have helped it reach new heights. They also assured fans that they would be the first to hear about any cast changes or production-related updates.
