South African actor and filmmaker Sisanda Henna is set to embark on a significant and cherished tradition as he prepares to pay lobola for his fiancée Keitumetse Qhali and get married in a traditional wedding next month. Henna is an esteemed actor, known for projects such as TshaTsha and Kings of Jozi while Qhali is an award-winning film maker and director known for Blood & Water and her film, The Initiate.
THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR YEARS
A source close the situation says in three weeks, the couple who have been together for a few years, will officially become husband and wife in a traditional ceremony that will be held in the Eastern Cape. According to the source who has been invited to the wedding, the couple who hail from the Eastern Cape, they will have their nuptials soon after the Hennas are done paying the lobola. "They are planning a small ceremony. They are both private people who do not want their business all over," says he source. "A save the day was sent a while ago and the invite came with strict instructions that it is not transferable," says the source. Henna was once married to actress Bonnie Mbuli and they have two children together.
