ANC KZN calls former President Jacob Zuma 'impimpi'

ANC KZN SG Bheki Mtolo and former President Jacob Zuma

ANC KZN Secretary General Bheki Mtolo has called former President Jacob Zuma the biggest "impimpi". This was during a media briefing that was held at their Pixley KaSeme Offices on Wednesday evening. This is not the first time Mtolo has come out guns blazing against Zuma, whom he claims has left the ANC because of his hatred for ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa and formed his party, Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK).

LABELLED AN IMPIPI

Mtolo continued to make scathing attacks on Zuma pointing out that MK, the party, was established as far back as 2019, a year after the former president resigned. "The powers of appointing the deputy president of the country lie with the president at that particular time. Nobody forced him to appoint Ramaphosa to be his deputy. As if that was not enough, it's Zuma who appointed Ramaphosa to head the committee to solve Eskom's problems. It was the same Zuma who appointed Ramaphosa as the deployment chair in the ANC. Now, he comes here playing victim claiming that he regrets appointing an "impimpi" to be his deputy. To us, who are intellectual thinkers, we have concluded that he is the biggest "impimpi," said Mtolo, adding that Zuma will rue the day he walked away from the ANC as they are going to deal with him until the ANC manifesto launch, to be held on March 10 at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

WE ARE NOT HARASSING ZUMA

He said as the ANC KZN, they have been asked to stop harassing Zuma as he's an old man. "Why must we keep quiet because he is busy badmouthing our president because of the hatred for him. There is nothing we can do now because it is crystal clear that he has divorced us. He chose to walk away. We tried everything, even tried to send Pastor Vusi Dube to talk to him and found out where did we go wrong. We even sent former Premier Willies Mchunu and he also failed. We have now asked Dr Zweli Mkhize to go and speak to him because now it is clear that he does not want to meet with us," Mtolo said.

Mtolo further announced that they has fired three ANC councillors who are working closely with the newly formed party. "We have since noted that there are three ANC councillors working against the ANC, yet they go around as part of the ANC. When you decide to go against us, automatically you have divorced us. We will furnish them with letters, and they will go forever. Once we are done outlining everything during the manifesto, you will never hear any of us talking about Zuma," he added.
