Over the weekend, social media influencer Mihlali Ndamase shared pictures of her bruised face with scratches and bruises, captioned "Thank you, my angel, @Leeroy_Mab.' Mihlali and Leeroy had gotten back together after a highly publicised break-up due to alleged infidelity and physical fights. Leeroy has since come forward to clear his name, stating that Mihlali is in fact the violent one in the relationship.

ATTEMPTED MURDER

The businessman has denied beating Mihlali, claiming he was merely protecting himself from being stabbed. "On 4 August 2024, Mihlali Ndamase attempted to contact me by placing a total of 78 calls, which I did not attend to as I had fallen asleep. Mihlali then arrived at my residence and persistently requested that my son open for her so she could see me," Leeroy said in a statement last night. He said she headed to the kitchen to get a knife in an attempt to stab him after he accused him of being unfaithful and confronted him in his room. "I then protected myself by pushing her away from me, resulting in her sustaining her injuries," he said. Leeroy, added that his son then came into the room after hearing the commotion and pleaded with Mihlali not to kill him.

Leeroy said he empathised with GBV victims and would never hit a woman. He added that Mihlali has a long history of assaulting him and damaging his property. "Especially when she is under the influence of substances which I cannot name. It is important to note that there is a plethora of witnesses, my children and bystanders who can attest to me not even laying a hand on her during or after any altercations but always deflecting and defending myself accordingly,' he said. Mihlali could not be reached for further comment but posted on her social media saying, "There are two sides to every story. Then there's the narcissist's version of events, which seems to have nothing to do with the original story."
