She still looks as good as she did when debuting her acting career on TV shows Yizo Yizo and Gaz’lam in the early 200s. Actress, filmmaker, and businesswoman Bubu Mazibuko has since kept a low profile working behind the scenes in the US. The actress is expecting a baby at 47 years old and couldn’t be happier.
Bubu shares details of her ‘miracle’ baby. "What a long and intense journey! But here we finally are," she says. "Living in what feels like a dream and definite miracle. I was going to detail the hardships of this journey for us, and I probably will write about it one day, but today all I want to express is gratitude," she adds. "Thank you to everyone who held our hands through this long process. Family, friends and particularly our fertility doctors.
HER ACTING CAREER
Bubu is best known for her role as Thuli in the TV drama series Gaz’lam. She also played the role of Inspector Chakela on the third season of the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs, Luntu on Entabeni and on SABC1 drama series A Place Called Home, Yizo Yizo, Zero Tolerance, Tshisa, Hopeville, and many others. She studied Fine Arts and later film at the New York Film Academy. However, two weeks after her arrival in the US, her sponsor died, forcing her to drop out of the academy but she stayed on in New York to study filmmaking and drama.
